About the role#
This hybrid role supports Medical Assisting students as they transition from the classroom to externships and professional employment. You will use your clinical background to guide students, manage placements, and build partnerships with local healthcare employers. This position requires one late shift per week, typically ending between 7:00pm and 8:00pm, to accommodate evening students.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate externship placements for students and monitor their progress, hours, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct site visits and maintain ongoing relationships with externship supervisors.
- Coach students and graduates on resume development, interview preparation, and job-search strategies.
- Connect graduates with hiring opportunities and support them through the recruitment process.
- Build and expand networks with hospitals, clinics, and medical practices to create new externship and job sites.
- Maintain accurate, accreditation-ready records for students and employer partners.
What you'll need#
- At least 3 years of hands-on Medical Assisting experience.
- Completion of a Medical Assisting program.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business technology.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and professional relationships.

- Pay Range: $30 - $34 per hour.
