About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring two student assistants for the Management Information Systems Help Desk. You will work under the supervision of the Help Desk Manager to provide technical support and learn routine procedures in client technologies and business technology management.
What you'll do#
- Install and repair hardware or peripheral equipment.
- Manage user accounts and technology inventory.
- Respond to and resolve client incidents or service requests.
- Deploy desktop images and configure software programs.
- Perform data entry and import or export activities.
- Troubleshoot system issues and conduct root cause analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student taking at least six-semester units or nine quarter units.
- A declared major in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Business Administration.
- Experience building or supporting PCs and related hardware and software.
- Previous customer service experience in a technical, service, or manufacturing environment.
- Helpdesk experience in a call center setting.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Sacramento, California.
- Work is performed on-site.
- This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited role.
- Pay ranges from $16.90 to $23.50 per hour.
- You may work up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks.
