About the role#
The California Department of Public Health is hiring five student assistants to support the Radiologic Health Branch. You will work with staff to handle general administrative tasks and assist with unit operations.
What you'll do#
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries from the public.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Input and update information in electronic records, directories, and databases.
- Maintain various files.
- Create forms, spreadsheets, and other documents.
- Respond to verbal and email requests.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at an accredited college or university.
- A major in Accounting, Business Administration, Chemistry, English, Journalism, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM, up to 24 hours per week.
- Compensation: $17.50 per hour.
- This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position.
