About the role#
The Kirmayer Fitness Center at the University of Kansas Medical Center hires students to support daily operations. You will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and guests. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling application process.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist visitors as they enter the facility.
- Monitor fitness areas to ensure equipment is used safely and facility policies are followed.
- Clean and sanitize fitness equipment and common areas.
- Organize and check out recreational equipment.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Answer questions about facility programs and services.
- Report maintenance issues or accidents to supervisors.
- Support special events and wellness programs as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently enrolled student at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
- You must hold a current CPR/AED certification.
- This role requires advanced knowledge and analytical skills in Health Administration, Nutrition, Kinesiology, Public Health, or Psychology.
