About the role#
This internship offers a look at the full life cycle of a sale in electrical distribution. You will gain hands-on experience in warehouse and distribution center operations. As a rotational intern, you will spend half of each day in your core operations role and the other half rotating through different departments to understand the broader business. You will work with a coach and mentor, engage with leadership, and complete a final capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Support daily warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory management.
- Analyze current processes to find opportunities for efficiency.
- Help document and improve operational procedures.
- Collaborate on projects that support business goals.
- Participate in departmental rotations, job shadowing, and professional development activities.
- Present a capstone project at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current Sophomore or Junior status pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Ability to move throughout a warehouse and lift or move materials as needed.
