About the role#
Vantive is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Mountain Home, Arkansas. This internship provides hands-on experience within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. You will work alongside engineers, technicians, and operations personnel to support process improvements, equipment optimization, and data analysis. This role contributes to operational efficiency and product quality while helping you develop technical and problem-solving skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with manufacturing process improvement projects.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production and quality data to identify trends.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing.
- Assist with equipment validation, process qualification, and documentation.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Create reports and visual management tools to communicate project results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, and Maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
