About the role#
Verdantas is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid position is based in our Wilmington and Dover, Delaware offices. You will work alongside professionals across multiple disciplines to gain hands-on experience on infrastructure and environmental projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids.
- Conduct fieldwork including site inspections, surveys, and GPS mapping.
- Research, collect, and enter data while applying technical principles to help analyze information.
- Review submittals and technical documents to check for project compliance.
- Create and update CAD and GIS drawings and documents.
- Perform annual updates to the cost-estimating database and maintain design templates.
- Handle miscellaneous project assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written communication skills to articulate outcomes to team members and clients.
- Ability to travel for project requirements if necessary.
- Previous engineering internship or Co-Op experience is a plus.
