About the role#
Versiti Inc. is seeking a student worker to join the Information Systems team in Grand Rapids. This is a paid, part-time position designed to provide practical experience for students pursuing a degree in a computer-related field. You will work 20 hours per week, with a schedule that remains flexible to accommodate your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Assist staff with installing, maintaining, upgrading, and decommissioning network hardware and software.
- Perform maintenance on desktop computers and assist with server configuration.
- Monitor networks and servers using established tools.
- Support Service Desk operations and management tasks.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the IS management team.
What you'll need#
- You must be a high school graduate currently enrolled in a degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- You must have completed relevant computer-related course work.
- Effective communication and organizational skills are required.
- You should be able to represent the IS department in a professional manner.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as standard operating procedures and maintenance manuals.
