About the role#
This summer internship focuses on sustaining and improving MCAD tools and practices. You will help develop global libraries, templates, and standards while providing functional support to engineering teams. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure our digital platforms, including PTC Windchill and Oracle PDM, function effectively for business execution.
What you'll do#
- Improve MCAD usage by developing best design practices, standards, and proofs of concept for tool functionalities.
- Implement and monitor governance for MCAD design and PDM system usage across global teams.
- Develop and maintain MCAD libraries, including parts, features, templates, and drawing formats.
- Provide functional application support by resolving user queries and tool-related issues.
- Define and maintain standard operating procedures and job aids.
- Lead CAD and PDM upgrades from an engineering requirements and usability perspective.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for MCAD solution providers to track and resolve technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent field.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as Creo, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
- Familiarity with Creo configuration, including config.pro and related settings.
- Ability to evaluate and implement MCAD best practices across multiple platforms.
- Familiarity with Creo MBD and experience supporting standardization efforts.
- Strong logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform root-cause analysis.
- Ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams.
