About the role#
As a Drafting Intern, you will support engineering and production teams by managing data entry, revising drawings, and handling project documentation. This role offers hands-on experience in construction and manufacturing, including creating pour sheets and assisting with material orders. You will work on-site in Valders, Wisconsin, gaining practical knowledge of drafting, production planning, and project execution.
What you'll do#
- Enter data into the Concrete Vision ERP system.
- Revise drawings as needed.
- Create individual pour sheets for production.
- Learn the process for ordering steel, insulation, and other project materials.
- Complete special projects and other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing a 2-4-year degree in drafting, Industrial Design, or Architecture.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read blueprints and plans.
- General math skills and an understanding of construction practices.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and meet project deadlines.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship based in Valders, WI.
- The role follows a rolling term.
- Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required.
- You must be able to wear required PPE and navigate industrial environments, including stairs and uneven surfaces.
