About the role#
As a Drafting Intern at Wells, you will support our engineering and production teams. You will assist with project documentation, drawing revisions, and data entry within our ERP system. This role provides hands-on experience with construction and manufacturing processes, including material ordering and production planning.
What you'll do#
- Enter data into the Concrete Vision ERP system.
- Revise drawings as needed.
- Create individual pour sheets for production.
- Order steel, insulation, and other materials based on project requirements.
- Complete special projects and other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a 2-4-year drafting or Industrial Design degree program.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read blueprints and plans.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- General math skills and an ability to solve problems efficiently.
- Understanding of construction practices.
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow project schedules.

- Compensation: Paid internship ($18-$21 per hour).
- This position requires occasional visits to active plant and field locations. You must be able to wear required personal protective equipment and navigate industrial environments safely.
