About the role#
As a Chemical Engineering Intern, you will work on thermal-hydraulic, fluid systems, and process engineering tasks related to nuclear power generation. You will report to the department manager and contribute to both operating plant and new project initiatives. This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with thermal and fluid systems analysis.
- Perform process design and engineering calculations.
- Write engineering reports and technical documentation.
- Take part in engineering reviews and evaluations.
- Collaborate with system engineers and project teams on process improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.
- An interest in energy systems and process engineering.
- A solid grasp of engineering fundamentals and calculations.

- Locations: Rock Hill, SC or Columbia, SC.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid or on-site.
- Compensation: $25.40 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
