About the role#
This KPO Co-Op position is based at the Whitcraft Group facility in Malden, Massachusetts. You will work on-site for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid role. Please note that we do not provide sponsorship for this position.
What you'll do#
- Develop, modify, and build machinery to meet production requirements.
- Create custom components using various materials and machinery.
- Prototype and produce equipment ready for the production floor.
- Apply Kaizen tools to improve manufacturing processes.
- Interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances to meet customer specifications.
- Collaborate with Operators, Engineers, Quality, EH&S, and the KPO team.
- Participate in shop floor activities, including 3S workshops and flow line operations.
- Follow all company policies, including safety, security, and housekeeping standards.
- Manage multiple tasks independently in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma.
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 1-2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly.
- 1-2 years of experience with machine design and mechanical components.
- Ability to work as a team player and communicate clearly.
- Professionalism, organization, and a proactive approach to tasks.
- A detail-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to solve problems and adapt to new situations.
Location & details#
- Location: Malden, MA.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements include mobility in a manufacturing plant, use of Personal Protective Equipment, and the ability to lift up to 15 pounds. The role involves sitting, standing, and walking, as well as potential travel to suppliers or other locations up to 25% of the time.
