About the role#
Whittier Trust Company is offering a 10-week summer internship program for 2027. This is a full-time, paid, on-site opportunity. You will work with our teams to support client services, investment management, and research initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support Client Advisors with account management, including creating cash flow analyses and balance sheets.
- Build and update financial models and conduct market and company research.
- Assist Portfolio Managers by generating custom reports and analyzing equity, fixed income, and economic data.
- Use tools like Bloomberg, FactSet, and Salesforce to organize client information and research.
- Analyze earnings conference calls and track composite performance.
- Assist with client events and administrative tasks such as presentation creation and document preparation.
- Research, write, and present a major project to the investment team.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for Finance or Economics majors.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and research skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, emotional intelligence, and maturity.
- Demonstrated interest in the wealth management industry.
- A record of strong academic performance and involvement in extra-curricular activities.

- Locations: Pasadena, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Reno.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks).
- Work authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available.
