About the role#
Winland Foods is looking for a Human Resources Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid internship offers hands-on experience across several HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Total Rewards. You will work on projects with guidance from a mentor and present your findings to leadership. This role involves visiting both corporate and manufacturing facilities to understand how different teams collaborate.
What you'll do#
- Learn the recruiting process by sourcing, evaluating, and screening candidates.
- Participate in new hire onboarding and New Hire Orientation.
- Support HR group projects and suggest process improvements.
- Collaborate with employee relations and field HR teams.
- Develop company communications.
- Use data for reporting, presentations, and decision making.
What you'll need#
- Full-time student status pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0, both overall and within your major.
- Experience or knowledge of Teams, MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and a self-motivated approach to work.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Oak Brook, Illinois.
- The work schedule is hybrid, with in-office days Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday.
