About the role#
Wyffels Hybrids is hiring an Agronomy Intern for the Summer 2027 season. This is a full-time, paid position based in Illinois and Iowa. While the role is remote, you will travel to various sites and a company vehicle is provided. You will work closely with the Product and Agronomy team under the supervision of a mentor.
What you'll do#
- Plan and implement agronomic experiments to provide on-farm trial results.
- Maintain product and agronomy demonstration sites used for training and customer tours.
- Help prepare and conduct agronomy training events for seed representatives and customers.
- Join the Agronomy Manager on customer service calls to learn how to diagnose field issues and interact with clients.
- Design and execute an independent project to be presented at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- You are currently an undergraduate Sophomore or Junior majoring in Agronomy or a related field.
- Previous experience in agriculture, sales, research, or farming.
- Knowledge of field crop production and agronomy.
- Proficiency in computer technology.
- Experience or confidence in operating basic agricultural equipment.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and integrity.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
- A responsible driving record.
