About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship based in Pontiac, Illinois. You will work directly with our Sales Regions in Central Illinois to support sales operations and provide technical service to our customers. This position runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the regional sales team and assist customers with technical needs.
- Learn the Wyffels seed lineup and understand proper product placement.
- Practice sales techniques and implement marketing strategies within the territory.
- Act as a resource for growers and seed representatives.
- Develop skills in account planning, time management, and creative problem-solving.
- Coordinate and attend sales and marketing events.
- Complete an internship project and present your findings at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate Sophomore or Junior.
- Major in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Prior experience in farming, sales, or the agriculture industry.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and personal integrity.
- Proficiency with computer technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time and organize tasks effectively.
- High standards for customer service.
- Geographical knowledge of the assigned territory and a willingness to live there during the internship.
