About the role#
The Corporate Impact Intern supports the Inclusion and Corporate Impact team by managing data-driven projects related to employee giving, nonprofit partnerships, and community investment. This role focuses on translating data into insights to help inform strategic decisions for the Xcel Energy Foundation. You will gain hands-on experience with CSR data systems and help measure the impact of community outreach programs.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze foundation data to align with strategic goals.
- Manage data entry and reporting within the CyberGrants portal.
- Build data dashboards and consolidate information from various sources.
- Help implement the annual workplace giving campaign.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries via shared email inboxes and hotlines.
- Support accounting and finance teams with audit and financial processes.
- Create process documents and job aids for employee giving programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or higher at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Data Science, Business Administration, Corporate Social Responsibility, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full-time (up to 40 hours per week during summer; up to 20 hours per week during the school year).
- Compensation: $18.20 to $19.50 per hour.
- Benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and holidays.
- Term: Rolling start date.
