About the role#
This internship provides experience in project management within our Energy Supply division. You will work under the guidance of supervisors and mentors to support capital projects at generation facilities, including coal, simple cycle, combined cycle, hydroelectric, and wind sites. This is a paid position starting May 24, 2027, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
What you'll do#
- Support the management of existing capital projects.
- Build relationships with plant personnel.
- Prioritize safety during all onsite activities.
- Red-line drawings for systems involved in capital projects.
- Create notifications, work orders, and purchase requisitions using SAP.
- Develop project schedules.
- Lead project update meetings with support from your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher as of Fall 2027 in an ABET accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.
- Ability to commute to the office in Denver, Colorado.
- Willingness to take occasional day-trips to power plants within Colorado.
- Project Management experience is preferred.
