About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Supply Chain and Logistics department at ZF Axle Drives Marysville. You will work alongside Master Schedulers, Material Planners, and shipping professionals to gain insight into how logistics impacts the automotive industry. The role involves collaborating with internal teams like Finance, Quality, and Purchasing, as well as external transportation providers and suppliers.
What you'll do#
- Use SAP for production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Coordinate and track domestic and international freight across truck, rail, ocean, and air modes.
- Monitor carrier performance and analyze operational metrics using key performance indicators.
- Support material scheduling, packaging planning, and material flow optimization.
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards to improve reporting tools.
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of dock scheduling software.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, such as Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or Operations Management.
- High School diploma.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Excel macros and formulas.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a team environment.
- Availability to work overtime on days or weekends when required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or automotive setting is preferred.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools is preferred.
