About the role#
As a Procurement and Global Supply Chain Intern, you will support operations across sourcing, purchasing, subcontract management, and supplier coordination. This role provides hands-on experience with procurement processes and supplier management within a program environment. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the work performed at this facility.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and issue purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and sourcing documentation.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, order status, and delivery updates.
- Maintain procurement records, perform data entry, and track status in internal systems.
- Conduct market, cost, or pricing research to support sourcing decisions.
- Evaluate supplier performance by maintaining scorecards for quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Support compliance with internal policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards like FAR or DFARS.
- Attend cross-functional meetings with finance, contracts, and program teams.
- Identify and recommend improvements for supply chain workflows.
What you'll need#
- You are scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering by Summer 2028 or Summer 2029.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel.
- Ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, purchasing, logistics, or contract management is helpful.
- Familiarity with data analysis, research, ERP systems, or procurement regulations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
