    About the role#

    As a Warranty College Co-op, you will support warranty initiatives by analyzing data, investigating field-returned components, and assisting with root cause analysis. You will work with customer warranty systems and participate in product evaluations alongside cross-functional teams. This role provides hands-on experience with technical problem-solving in the automotive industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Support warranty investigations related to field performance and customer concerns.
    • Analyze customer warranty data to identify trends, track returned components, and monitor metrics like claim volume, labor codes, and cost impacts.
    • Evaluate warranty claims to identify causes of field failures or customer dissatisfaction.
    • Collaborate with Product, Metallurgical, and Gear Lab Engineering teams, as well as Quality departments, to support problem-solving.
    • Perform hands-on evaluation of field-returned components, including product teardowns and failure analysis.
    • Document root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
    • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate warranty trends and investigation results to stakeholders.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree or a related field at an accredited university.
    • A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • Ability to work 25 hours per week year-round.
    • Interest in a career within the automotive industry.
