About the role#
The Game Development Assistant supports the daily operations of the Game Department. This position assists students and faculty while helping with administrative tasks. It is a Federal Work Study role designed to help students build professional skills while they complete their education.
What you'll do#
- Answer questions from students and faculty who walk into the office.
- Manage department reception emails and assist with calendar scheduling.
- Update spreadsheets to track curriculum changes and department projects.
- Design and update flyers, posters, newsletters, and signs.
- Maintain and update department displays and exhibits.
What you'll need#
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Proficiency in Photoshop.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize your daily workload.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving problems.
Location & details#
- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
- Hours: 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling employment from your start date through graduation.
- Compensation: $19.61 per hour.
- Eligibility: This role is for Federal Work Study students. Schedules must not conflict with your classes.
