About the role#
As a Sales Engineering Co-Op, you will support our team with solution design, pre-sales, and technical enablement. You will work directly with our sales engineering team to understand customer requirements, identify technical pain points, and help architect solutions for complex data challenges. This is a 4-month assignment based in Kitchener.
What you'll do#
- Write, test, and deploy software solutions using Java or Scala.
- Manage SE labs and demo instances across cloud and on-premise ecosystems.
- Participate in the customer proposal lifecycle, including Demos, RFIs, RFPs, and POCs.
- Build ROI models for prospects that connect technical solutions to business value.
- Create automation scripts and go-to-market assets.
- Adapt to new tools, languages, and platforms through continuous learning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related degree at the University of Waterloo.
- Programming proficiency in Java, Scala, and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
- Understanding of Kubernetes concepts like Pods, Services, Deployments, and ConfigMaps.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
