About the role#
This Data Scientist Internship is part of the Automotive team. You will focus on using data to understand and connect with current and potential customers. The role involves working with data platforms and analytics tools to support marketing analytics and market research. This is a paid, part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Support data-driven storytelling initiatives through data visualization.
- Create high-value audiences and models using internal and partner data.
- Build, test, and refine data solutions.
- Apply statistical modeling algorithms to improve product quality.
- Build, evaluate, and optimize data models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business and insight goals.
- Define project requirements, including data sources and patterns, with team leads.
- Transition development projects to production systems alongside the account team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Basic to moderate experience with SQL for pattern identification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Ability to interpret Java logs and XML to troubleshoot issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software is helpful.
- Experience applying data science tools and statistics to datasets.
Location & details#
- This role is remote.
- The internship term is Winter 2027, beginning January 11, 2027.
- Expected time commitment is 20 to 25 hours per week during the semester, with up to 40 hours per week during breaks and summer.
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
