About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside social media professionals at a large integrated health system. You will gain experience managing social media accounts and building relationships with administrative managers and department directors. This is a part-time, paid, grant-funded position with rolling start dates.
What you'll do#
- Produce social media content for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, including written posts, videos, and graphics.
- Monitor brand account activity, such as comments, messages, and reviews.
- Design infographics and other visual assets for social media platforms.
- Assist with social media database management, profile reviews, and account audits.
- Support the ideation and development of new social media initiatives.
- Help with various marketing projects and external communications tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a college or university junior or senior, or a recent graduate.
- Pursuing a BA, BS, or MBA in public relations, marketing, journalism, mass communications, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Preference is given to students residing in specific Chicago zip codes to meet grant requirements.
Location & details#
- This role is primarily remote with opportunities for in-person gathering and projects.
- In-person components are available for those located near Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, Charlotte, NC, Macon, GA, or Rome, GA.
- Pay range is $18.85 to $28.30 per hour.
