About the role#
Aecon is looking for a co-op student to join the project controls team for an 8-month term starting in Winter 2027. This position supports major projects within the civil east division in the GTA.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with project control activities, specifically focusing on risk management.
- Gather and share risk-related data across various stakeholder groups.
- Help the Risk Director, Project Managers, and Project Controls Analysts with risk analysis, benchmarking, and documentation.
- Maintain risk registers and analyze historical project risk information.
- Present findings to the project team when necessary.
- Provide benchmarking information and feedback on risk management accuracy to different functional groups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management program.
- Knowledge of project management, project controls, or cost engineering processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic presentation skills.
- A proven record of good performance and attendance.
- Proficiency in French or Spanish is considered an asset.

- Compensation: $23 to $28 per hour.
