About the role#
Affirmed Home Care is hiring nursing students for companion opportunities in Manhattan. This role offers hands-on patient care experience while you continue your education. Schedules are flexible to accommodate your class and clinical rotations.
What you'll do#
- Provide personal care and companionship to clients.
- Assist with activities of daily living.
- Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
- Help clients maintain a safe and independent lifestyle at home.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course, verified by a transcript.
- Current medical documentation including MMR titers, a TB test, and an employment physical.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- A valid driver's license or reliable transportation is preferred.

- Location: Manhattan, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Pay: $20.50 per hour, paid weekly.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
