About the role#
The Quality Assurance Intern works with the Quality Assurance and Laboratory Leadership team to maintain company protocols and procedures. You will help uphold food safety and quality standards by monitoring production parameters. This role reports to the Plant Leadership Team, typically a Quality Assurance Manager, supervisor, or Plant Director. You will gain hands-on experience in a dairy manufacturing environment while contributing to projects that impact product quality.
What you'll do#
- Support quality, food safety, and sanitation inspections.
- Assist with the verification of products, ingredients, and packaging.
- Collect samples and support monitoring and testing programs.
- Review quality and food safety documentation.
- Partner with team members to learn various department functions.
- Present key project outcomes and learnings at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate, Bachelor, or Master program in Dairy Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- An analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Interest in food manufacturing, food safety, and continuous improvement.
