    About the role#

    As a Mechanical Engineering intern, you will contribute to the design, development, and technical analysis of components and assemblies. You will work on projects of moderate scope, either independently or as part of a team, to support new product requirements and current product improvements. This role offers exposure to electronic locking systems and access control solutions.

    What you'll do#

    • Generate, evaluate, and analyze design concepts for components and assemblies.
    • Develop 3D models and participate in peer reviews on design.
    • Work with other engineers to ensure the correct processes, tooling, and equipment are available for manufacturing.
    • Utilize engineering tools including FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis, and DFM/DFA.
    • Participate in daily and other regular team meetings.
    • Apply mechanical testing techniques and use software such as Creo and MS Project.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative.
    • Basic understanding of electronics.
    • Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings.
    • Resiliency and the ability to adapt quickly.
    • Effective listening, time management, and creative problem-solving skills.
    • A strong desire to learn and develop.

    • Location: Colorado Springs, CO or Golden, CO
    • Modality: On-site
    • Employment Type: Full-time
    • Compensation: $25-$26 per hour
    • Note: This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
