About the role#
The Global Supply Strategy Summer Intern position is a full-time opportunity based in Carmel, Indiana, for the Summer 2027 term. You will contribute directly to Global Supply Management goals, processes, and key performance indicators. This role involves gaining experience in supplier relationship management, risk management, diversity, quality, and systems compliance. You will also participate in playbook development and support digital transformation initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Deepen your understanding of global supply management strategic initiatives.
- Shadow Supplier Quality Engineers to learn major quality processes and tools.
- Gain familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing technology like Oracle, SMART by GEP, and Microsoft PowerBI.
- Develop automation and improve standard processing and data collection through software updates.
- Expand your knowledge of risk factors to lead risk management initiatives within the supply chain.
- Lead projects to analyze and revise team KPIs, audit compliance, and standard processes.
- Attend Young Professional meetings and Allegion site visits to observe operations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline such as Supply Chain, Management, or International Business.
- At least one year of related experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability through school clubs, sports teams, or project work.
- Moderate understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
- Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings.
- Strong time management skills and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Resiliency and the ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
- A desire to learn and develop through projects that impact the business.
