About the role#
As a Systems Engineer intern, you will join the Locks and Access Solutions business unit. You will work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in the application of systems engineering principles. This role contributes to the development and enhancement of security products throughout the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies.
- Support the development and integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project requirements and progress.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, such as system requirements, interface definitions, and system block diagrams.
- Assist in the verification of requirements and structured problem solving activities.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong interest in Systems Engineering and its applications.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
