About the role#
This is a full-time student worker position at Scranton Commons for the Summer 2026 term. You will work on-site to assist with food preparation and customer service operations.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and maintain a positive demeanor.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and anticipate customer needs.
- Clean and sanitize workstations.
- Stock food items to appropriate levels.
- Follow all company safety and food sanitation policies.
- Secure company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous experience in food service is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment.
- This role is open to students in Business Administration, Human Resources, Civil Engineering, Psychology, or Nutrition.
