    About the role#

    This summer internship offers exposure to airport infrastructure projects. You will support engineering assignments that help with planning, design, and construction. This role is designed to build your technical skills and help you explore a career in aviation engineering.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with preparing plan details, outlines, and design components for airport infrastructure projects.
    • Perform material quantity take-offs and contact vendors for budgetary quotes.
    • Support the development of construction cost estimates.
    • Perform field tests, measurements, and data collection to support design and construction.
    • Assist with construction inspection and on-site project representation.
    • Prepare daily field reports and contribute to construction oversight tasks.
    • Research design options and present findings to project managers.
    • Review design drawings and contribute to quality control.
    • Prepare sections of technical memoranda and project reports.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exposure to AutoCAD or Civil 3D is preferred.
    • Interest in airport design, aviation infrastructure, or FAA standards is a plus.
