About the role#
This is a temporary, full-time internship with the Network Operations department at Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation. The position is based in Little Rock, Arkansas, and runs during the Summer of 2027. This role is paid and requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Provide operational support for computer network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and IP phones.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic reports.
- Develop network monitoring solutions, such as dashboards, email alerts, and records management tools.
- Support Fiber operations field technicians with the deployment and troubleshooting of fiber connectivity to company assets.
- Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely updates to maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- Enrollment in a college degree program related to IT, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work well with others and handle stress.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance and work outside of regular office hours when necessary.
- Awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
