About the role#
This internship focuses on Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity initiatives and the Cyber Compliance Monitoring Program. You will work on-site at our Innsbrook office in Glen Allen, Virginia, under the guidance of experienced team members. This role involves managing Transmission asset information and supporting the lifecycle of electric infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Support OT cybersecurity initiatives, including asset inventory validation, monitoring, and vulnerability management.
- Assist with Cyber Compliance Monitoring Program activities such as audit preparation, evidence collection, and compliance reporting.
- Analyze engineering documents, network diagrams, and technical configurations to verify system designs.
- Identify and analyze processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of asset information across databases.
- Participate in cybersecurity investigations and operational reviews by researching system logs and supporting root cause analysis.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate metrics to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and field personnel to understand how critical infrastructure is managed and protected.
- Assist in resolving data collection issues for field inspection technologies and software applications.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and varied duties simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Planning and organizational abilities.

- Location: Glen Allen, Virginia (On-site).
- Schedule: Full-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $26.00 per hour.
