About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in public accounting and consulting. You will work alongside professionals at all levels to gain insight into the field. This role involves project work, training, and client interaction. You will receive the same exposure as associate-level hires while participating in interactive programming.
What you'll do#
- Gain real-world exposure to financial and IT audits, reviews, compilations, and projects.
- Evaluate process risks, develop tests for key controls, and determine the effectiveness of those controls.
- Assist with System and Organization Controls (SOC) audits, IT General Controls support, ISO Assessments, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and Internal Audits.
- Interact with clients to identify and resolve audit issues.
- Learn about client systems and control environments, including financial operations and transactional controls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master’s program in business with an emphasis in accounting.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- Preference for candidates who plan to complete the 150 semester or 225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and August 2028.
