About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship provides hands-on experience in public accounting and consulting. You will work alongside professionals at various levels to gain insight into the field. The role involves a mix of project work, training, and client interaction to build your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Gain real-world exposure to financial and IT audits, reviews, compilations, and projects.
- Learn to evaluate process risks, develop tests for key controls, and determine the effectiveness of those controls.
- Help ensure the completion of fieldwork for client engagements, including SOC audits, IT General Controls support, ISO Assessments, SOX, Internal Audits, and Agreed Upon Procedures.
- Interact with clients to identify and resolve audit issues.
- Learn about client systems and control environments, including financial operations and transactional controls like reconciliations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in business with an emphasis in accounting.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- A preference for candidates planning to complete the 150 semester or 225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and August 2028.
