About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Lima, Ohio. You will join our claims team to learn how we provide financial security to individuals and businesses after a loss occurs. This role requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Investigate claims by phone, mail, and on-site visits.
- Assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate losses, and analyze legal liability.
- Study insurance policies, forms, and endorsements to build your knowledge.
- Work toward claim resolutions, which may include attending mediations, arbitrations, depositions, or trials.
- Process payments to ensure they are accurate and timely.
- Provide service to policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, entering your junior or senior year.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and interpret data to resolve complex issues.
- Capacity to manage multiple assignments at once.
- Attention to detail.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
