About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our Underwriting team for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position based in Draper, Utah. You will work on-site to gain experience in the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Learn insurance coverages, contracts, company philosophy, and procedures.
- Study company policies, manuals, forms, and endorsements.
- Analyze loss experience, financial conditions, and physical characteristics of risks.
- Develop a working knowledge of the different sections within the underwriting department.
- Communicate with independent agents and other employees.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in college and entering your junior or senior year.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize data, handle multiple tasks, and make decisions independently.
- Capability to resolve complex issues.
- Interest in developing product knowledge through educational programs.
