About the role#
Join the Flow Capture engineering team to build cloud-based tools for the media and entertainment industry. You will help develop features that improve collaboration, review, and asset management for creative professionals working in film, television, animation, and games. This 16-week internship offers hands-on experience in a professional software development environment, supported by experienced engineers and product specialists.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to modern web-based applications and services used by creative studios and artists.
- Participate in iterative design, testing, and development sprints to deliver high-quality software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, QA specialists, and product managers, to turn requirements into working features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while learning professional development practices.
- Engage in team activities and mentorship designed to support your technical and professional growth.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, preferably in your second year or later.
- Experience with backend or object-oriented software development, ideally using Java, Kotlin, C#, Python, or Go.
- Understanding of software fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience designing or consuming APIs such as REST or GraphQL.
- Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn through feedback.
- Interest in cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services, is an asset.
