    About the role#

    This is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work alongside engineers to design, develop, and test embedded software for unmanned aerial and robotic systems. The program provides hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry, covering the full development lifecycle from prototyping to field testing.

    What you'll do#

    • Write and test embedded software for systems including autopilots, sensors, and radios.
    • Implement software in C/C++ for real-time and bare-metal systems.
    • Integrate embedded software with hardware using lab tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
    • Participate in peer reviews, software documentation, and configuration management.
    • Contribute to lab and field testing of embedded systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • Basic knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
    • Familiarity with C, C++, or Python.
    • Understanding of low-level software concepts such as memory management, interrupts, or device drivers.
    • Ability to work on-site.
    • This position requires access to information subject to ITAR/EAR regulations, requiring verification of U.S. person status.
