About the role#
This is a paid, full-time, 12-week internship program for Summer 2027. You will work on-site, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing process design, factory planning, and production support for unmanned air vehicles. The role involves working alongside experienced engineers on projects that impact our aerospace and defense operations.
What you'll do#
- Support and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and quality.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods to continuous improvement projects.
- Analyze production data, including yields, capacity, costs, and process capability.
- Help establish and document standard work hours, sequences, and assembly procedures.
- Generate and update work instructions for manufacturing processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities regarding materials, equipment, and personnel.
- Assist with factory layout design and manufacturing capacity planning.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on Design for Manufacturing and reliability analysis.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Coursework or experience related to manufacturing, process improvement, or quality control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel to supplier sites up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires access to information subject to ITAR and EAR regulations, meaning applicants must be U.S. persons.

- This is an on-site role available in Simi Valley, San Luis Obispo, Moorpark, Petaluma, and San Diego, California.
- Additional locations include Dayton, Ohio; Huntsville, Alabama; Pottstown, Pennsylvania; Annapolis Junction and Germantown, Maryland; Lawrence, Kansas; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Arlington, Virginia; and Melbourne, Florida.
