About the role#
As an Entry Level Controls Engineer, you will support control system integration projects to help clients modernize their manufacturing operations. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project teams to design, program, and troubleshoot automated systems. This role offers hands-on experience and mentorship as you build technical depth in automation and manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Design, program, and troubleshoot automated machinery and line control systems.
- Develop industrial controller PLC programs and human machine interfaces.
- Create user applications to monitor and control production processes.
- Design electrical control panels and manage related system documentation.
- Build control systems that provide real-time production lifecycle feedback.
- Support project teams with integration deliverables and client-facing work.
- Travel to client sites to assist with manufacturing process design, installation, and start-up activities.
- Grow your technical capabilities through hands-on exposure to automation and project execution.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor of Science in electrical, mechatronic, mechanical, chemical, or computer engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Experience applying engineering fundamentals to automation, manufacturing, or control systems through academics, internships, or co-ops.
- Foundational knowledge of programming methods, electrical design, and engineering problem solving.
- Exposure to PLCs, HMIs, industrial control panels, or automated manufacturing systems.
- The ability to travel for project requirements, including site installations, training, and client meetings.
