About the role#
The Department of Biology at Baylor University is hiring an undergraduate office assistant for the Fall 2026 through Spring 2027 academic term. This role supports the department through a mix of administrative duties and marketing tasks. You will work on-site at the Baylor Science Building.
What you'll do#
- Greet faculty, staff, students, and guests who visit the office.
- Handle daily administrative tasks such as answering the phone, managing mail, and stocking office supplies.
- Maintain organizational records by updating inventory spreadsheets and Box folders.
- Support marketing and communications efforts by designing original content and updating materials like slides, posters, and signs.
- Provide ongoing support for the department website and social media channels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student.
- Experience with design work, specifically using Canva and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A self-starter mindset with a willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and follow University policies.
