About the role#
This is a 4-month Co-op or Intern position based in our Portage la Prairie office. You will join the Assurance team for the Summer 2027 term, running from May to August. This role offers a practical learning experience in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. You will work in a hybrid environment, splitting time between the office, client sites, and virtual work.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns for various clients using technical knowledge from your coursework.
- Contribute to tax compliance projects and other assignments following regulatory standards.
- Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients while responding to their requests.
- Participate in business development initiatives and identify new opportunities with existing clients.
- Communicate progress updates and project issues to team members.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
- A strong desire to provide quality client service and a commitment to working well within a team.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
