About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will work alongside experienced team members to gain hands-on experience in the audit practice. You will assist with problem-solving and fact-finding for our clients, while building professional relationships within the firm.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a structured training program to learn Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
- Learn BDO audit methodology to support various stages of the audit process.
- Communicate with clients, creditors, banks, and related parties regarding audit issues.
- Prepare and document work in working papers using firm-specific tools and templates.
- Complete one assigned accounting or audit research project and present your findings to a panel of professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
