About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking an Audit Intern to join our Financial Reporting and Assurance Services team in Denver for the Summer 2028 term. This role provides an experience similar to that of a first-year staff member, allowing you to work with a variety of clients across different industries.
What you'll do#
You will help our team plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure financial statements comply with GAAP. Your daily work includes:
- Applying accounting and auditing standards to your assigned sections.
- Documenting working papers clearly and accurately.
- Reviewing data related to material assets, net worth, liabilities, and income.
- Learning and applying the firm's audit approach to your projects.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- You have a basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
- You communicate well in both written and verbal formats.
- You are committed to professional and client service excellence.
- You are available to work 40 hours per week.
