About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking Tax Interns for a Winter 2028 internship in Dallas, Texas. This role provides experience similar to that of a first-year staff member. You will work across several areas of tax and receive mentoring through our Buddy program.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently while applying feedback to avoid repeating errors.
- Develop income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients.
- Research, analyze, and summarize financial information.
- Review accounting records and financial statements to check for accuracy and conformance to reporting standards.
- Maintain client files according to firm standards.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to provide service to clients.
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
