About the role#
As an Operations Intern, you will support project-based initiatives and process improvements within our senior living communities. This is an 11.5-week cohort program designed to provide hands-on experience while contributing to our organizational goals. You will work alongside leadership to support operational efficiency and service quality.
What you'll do#
- Support operational data collection and reporting, including the creation of basic dashboards and summaries.
- Observe and document frontline processes across various campus departments.
- Help standardize policies, procedures, and tools by maintaining and organizing documentation.
- Assist with project coordination for leadership initiatives, including preparing trackers and meeting notes.
- Participate in campus rounds to summarize observations and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support resident experience efforts by organizing feedback and tracking service recovery actions.
- Provide general administrative and communication support for operational priorities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in health administration or a related field, with Junior or Senior standing.
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse audiences.
- Willingness and ability to travel to any BHI Community during the cohort period.
- Preference given to students pursuing a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration.
